Alfie McCollum Rathmullan

A new Doris Magee film, Directed by Derek O Connor and featuring stories of rugged individualists, sole traders, and entrepreneurs in wild Donegal. This short video features Alfie McCollum and his curiosity shop in Rathmullan. Anyone who visits the seaside village will have at one time entered this Aladdin’s Den and encountered the amiable owner.

Alfie specialises in old postcards of the village and Lough Swilly but you are likely to encounter a diverse range of items picked up at auctions throughout the county. Alfie takes a keen interest in every visitor and shares the news of the day with them whether or not they buy. If you haven’t been to “Alfie’s” yet – do call in next time you are in Rathmullan.
