Refurbishment works are due to start at Rathmullan pier this April.
Contractors Cunninghams Civil and Marine have been appointed to the project, which will involve essential safety upgrades including the repair of the concrete uprights, replacement of beams and decks and new ducting.
Workers are expected on site on the week of 8th April 2024. The works are scheduled to be completed by November 2024.
A public notice has advised that the project will put the pier out of use for the construction period.
Access to the slipway and ferry service remain open with traffic management in place.
Some of the carpark area will be designated as an area available to the contractor for the works and a section allocated to the local sailing school as shown on the map below.
